Still imagery to me will always be the purest medium. There is no better feeling than capturing that decisive moment, perfectly timed memories of timeless imagery. I began my journey with a Pentax 35 mm camera and it didn't take long before I dreamed about having a digital device.

I remember my first experiences in photography vividly and I credit my parents for giving me the tools to follow my dreams. I used to stare at the starlit skies in Maine and wonder if I'll ever be able to record them and bring them home with me. At that time I hardly knew how to use my 35 mm but I just loved the sound of the shutter. It wasn't until my father let me use a Fujifilm 2.1-megapixel camera he borrowed from Saint Michaels for a day to let me mess around with during a family yard sale. From that moment I was hooked and I credit my mother for really getting me into this profession, she bought my first point-and-shoot Sony digital camera. Thank you to my parents for never letting me quit on this dream, through their support I've been able to uncover something that makes me feel alive, something that I believe I was put on this earth to do.
